Timing Is Always Key

Advertising needs time and most of all, money. You know for a fact that in order for you to market effectively, you need to invest your resources to the project, be it color printing ads or commercials. Expert marketers would even tell you that to get better results, you need to increase your ads in terms of your spending efforts.

However, for the most of us, increasing your advertising budget may not be the best option considering that you’re a small business operating on a limited budget. Add to that the current situation is not too good as the economy begins to shrink.

So when do you suppose is the right time to advertise?

There’s a study that says otherwise. New research shows that an increased spending on your ads when the economy is low can be vital in your success. If you wait until the economy shrinks, you have a better chance of generating more sales for your products and services.

According to the study, when spending on advertising is high during a healthy economy, you risk the chance of losing your target clients to your competitors. Why? Because too much spending on your marketing campaigns during a great economy boosts a consumer’s responsiveness to the type of product you are offering rather than your company. Too much advertising makes it appear that your target clients need the product and that anywhere they can get the same benefits. So where does that leave you?

When the research was going on, the members of the group also found out that that advertising can greatly help a business grow in terms of the financial aspect. This is true from start of the business until the third year for all the respondents in the study. And it was confirmed that when these companies increased their marketing efforts during downtimes, it reflected that they were able to get more benefits than when they do it during the time that the economy was healthy.

They deduced that the reason for this is that advertising provides that positive light during times of depression. In fact, it helps build confidence among clients and investors alike that the situation is not too tough after all that business owners are willing to spend even their limited budget.

The bottom line of the research is that businesses should maintain their efforts to advertise even at times of adversity. They maintain that in order for you maximize your spending during these bad times you have to be at it at a steady pace. You need to regularly market to ensure that you get your market share of what’s left of the economy.

Why Link Farm and FFA Submissions Are a Bad Idea

Before search engines got smart, a site's page ranking was based on keyword match-ups. When webmasters stock-piled their sites with keywords, the wrong sites were getting too much attention. Google decided to focus on a site's "popularity" instead. The number of incoming links became the focus of PR criteria. The theory behind this system was that if a lot of sites link to another site, that site would contain valuable content.

But again, webmasters got sneaky. With this trend, we began to see the evolution of "Link Farms" and "Free-for-All" (FFA) sites. These pages were essentially a gigantic collection of (often times) useless links. In most cases, the sites were not categorized or descriptive. They became a place for webmasters to dump their links in order to make their site appear more popular.

This strategy worked for some time, but soon search engines caught on. "Link Farms" and FFA sites served no purpose to web users. Since Google prides itself on catering to web users (and NOT developers), a solution had to be formed. "Link Farms" were cluttering up the web and making it more difficult for users to find valuable resources online.

Google soon began to rate the quality of the links that determined a site's "link pop." "Link Farms" and FFA sites became categorized as spam, and thus contributed no value to a site's link popularity.

Today, submitting to a "Link Farm" or FFA site can be harmful to your website's reputation. Google takes a strong stance against these kinds of link pages. At best, the "Link Farm" will drag down your ranking and make it harder for the valuable sites to work in your favor. At worst, your site will be BANNED altogether for using spam sites to attempt to generate traffic. This is a very real possibility.

"Link Farms" and FFA sites present very little value. Although it may sound tempting, users will not obtain quality or relevant links from the submission. Plus, who wants to see their link among "junk" websites for adult entertainment, dating sites, and casinos? Submitting to "Link Farms" doesn't contribute to your credibility and is just not worth the risk.

Instead, spend your time submitting to credible directories and exchanging links with other relevant sites. The process can be time-consuming, but it is the only way to generate safe, site-specific traffic.

For an easier method to the tedious directory submission process, and to Submit your website to 300+ link directories fast and easy we recommend Directory Submitter.

By: Prashant K Shukla

The most effective SEO technique is to index the pages of new website. There are lot of important issues, one should take care. We are providing a simple guide steps to help you in this regard.

Breaking Down And Analyzing Your Design

What a graphic designer usually does is to mix all the basic ingredients to reflect a particular mood or style in any color printing ad they create. The fonts, the graphic images, the design as well as the color – all of these elements are combined to come up with an ad that would definitely get your target readers’ attention.

And it all boils down to what your readers feel and say about your ad. It’s all about their reaction and impression on the style you chose for your ad, as well as the way you conveyed your message to them.

That’s your design palette – where you mix altogether your elements to draw your readers into your ad. It may be the subtle type where your readers are drawn to your design with no effort at all. The design is so simple and subtle that your readers won’t even realize that they’re into your ad already. The other one, the more aggressive type, is more obvious, as the design usually directs your attention to the key message. There’s nothing to distract or confuse your readers from what is really important, which is your message.

If you choose to apply the more aggressive style in your design, first of all, you need to provide a typeface that is ‘clean, readable, and with quiet strength’ as another designer would suggest. This means that your choice of font does its job efficiently, and yet it doesn’t overshadow all the other elements in your ad. And remember that when you want to put a lot of information in your color printing campaign, be sure to include a distinctive typeface that is neutral as it easily packs your details in a small space without making it look busy and disorderly.

In terms of your colors, by putting a limit to your use would ensure that you provide subtleness to your design and draw your readers’ attention to the ideas and concepts that you would want to be emphasized. This is particularly true with your photographs. If you want to show a certain concept on that, you’re better off limiting your color use.

Your photos and images also provide your readers with the idea you would want to convey. Depending on different design factors such as layering, opacity, and transparency, you can make your images look more dramatic and striking.

The bottom line is that you include that extra attention to the details of your design. It doesn’t matter whether you want it subtle or straight-forward. What would make your ad effective are the features and factors you add in your size, color, in your choice of image and photos, and so forth.

Exposing the Hyperlink

A hyperlink, also called simply "a link", is a reference in a hypertext document to another document or other resource. It is an integral part of the hypertext transfer protocol (http) for World Wide Web, but it is used also in offline documents, such as .pdf (portable document file, Adobe Acrobat native format) and in .XML (extended markup language). Hyperlink can be used to fetch content and save it, view it as a separate document or display as a part of the reference document.

The history of the hyperlink

The history of the hyperlink began in 1965. Theodore Nelson in "the Xanadu Project" transposed the idea from fictional microfilm cross-referencing system into the computer world. In a series of books and articles published from 1964 through 1980 the general concept was changed from linking whole microfilm pages to connecting specific lines of computer text. Primary concept was intended to use on single computer machine, however introduction of DARPA network boosted the idea into creating links between documents and files stored on several networked machines. The idea of connecting parts of a single document via hyperlink arose independently, but was quickly merged to the hyperlink system. Both concepts combined together were fundamental for creating World Wide Web.

How does a hyperlink work?

A hyperlink has two ends, called anchors, and a direction. The link starts at the source anchor and points to the destination anchor. However, the name hyperlink is often used for the source anchor, while the destination anchor is called the hyperlink target. Every browser shows text hyperlinks somewhat exposed (they usually mark it with a different color). Clicking on the hyperlink activates it and displays target document.

Hyperlink - measuring the Net

But hyperlinks are not only the way we surf the Net. Life on the Web without search engines is almost impossible today, because of unbelievable amount of networked information. Most search engines use so-called "page ranking" to measure which site may contain useful information. This mechanism is mostly based on hyperlink popularity. Although whole idea of "page rank" mechanism is more complicated, its general concept is based on a simple rule: the more pages have a hyperlink pointing to the ranked page, the higher rank that page gets. Of course, each hyperlink has different value, based on the popularity of the "source" site (This means simply that if your website is a target for hyperlink placed on the big site like CNet of Microsoft, it has much higher page rank than a site with several hyperlink connections from private sites). This mechanism is based on measuring of hyperlink's quality. Although not perfect, both mechanisms usually works well enough to determine which website has got good content and which hasn't.

How To Create Flyers That Win Clients

Advertising flyers are definitely the most cost effective marketing tool you can use to spread out the word on your business. You can hand them out, post them, hang them up, or even leave them where your clients and prospects can get them.

The beauty of it is that you could either do your own advertising flyers or get a flyer printing company to produce them for you. Either way, you need to consider some of these things to help you create the most hardworking tool that can win your clients for you.

Pictures do paint a thousand words…
They do paint a hundred and thousand words that your flyer printing copy may not be able to. Use photos and graphics to emphasize your benefits. You can either scan your photos or you can look at stock graphic images available in software and on the Internet. Sometimes they’re free but most of the time you could buy them for a minimal fee. Just remember to choose the image that would most likely help you make your message clearer and simpler for your target readers.

Provide guarantees that you can actually deliver…
Do not, and I mean ever, include claims in your ad that you can’t actually deliver. Your readers will know it, believe it or not. And nothing turns them off that fast. You can always be positive in your story, but never go beyond than what you can provide your prospects.

Focus on what’s important…
Identify which is the most important idea or message in your ad, and then focus on that. Position that idea to make it more prominent in your whole ad. Upsize it, increase its density – the key is to make it the single most dominant feature in your ad to catch the attention of your readers.

Stick with what you have…
If you have your message or idea, stick with it even if you feel that you’ve been promoting it for so long. Being consistent in what you say can get you the success you need to make your clients and prospects remember you. Repeat marketing helps increase familiarity among your readers. And remember that what matters is what your clients and prospects feel about your ad. It doesn’t matter that your campaign is too old for you; it remains fresh to each and every new prospect that sees it.

Simplicity…
A good design is often made simple and clear. It doesn’t have to be so complicated that you’re having sleepless nights about it. A flyer printing project is even simpler. You can get pictures and graphics from collections available online and even from a software. With your fonts, you just have to apply two typefaces max so as not to clutter your ad too much and make you appear amateurish to your clients.

Why “Less Is More” Works

Most interior designers have one very sound advice: de-clutter. Throw away what you do not need and organize. As a rule of thumb, if you have not used something because you have not seen it, then you don’t need it. If you have done this, then you already know the basic elements of a good design.

Even Oprah has the same theory that she lives by. De-clutter your life and you’ll have success. One of her episodes even showed her team going from house to house to help families de-clutter their lives.

In the same way, marketing materials using commercial printing methods should be designed to make business easier for your customers. The overall appearance of your marketing material spells the difference as to whether people will take interest in your products and services. And if you have not noticed, well-designed, commercially printed materials outperform poorly made ones.

Well-designed materials have better chances of achieving its objective; that is, to catch someone’s attention in five seconds or less. Try handing somebody a poorly-formatted, poorly-designed flyer, postcards or business cards even, and you run the risk of losing them…forever.

So how do you prepare a good design? Here are a few fast rules than you can follow. Use this guide as you work on your next project.

Keep you message clear and concise. The KISS or ‘Keep It Simple, Stupid’ applies equally to designing your message and your marketing piece. Most businesses try to put so many things in a message that they tend to lose the real intention.
Work yourself up from your goal to your marketing piece. Know your customers needs before you make a decision about how to fill them. Market research helps to identify which customers you would want to focus on. Aspire to be a specialist more than a generalist in targeting your customers.

Present similar kinds of information in similar ways. If you give your customers a puzzle, chances are they will not have the time to solve them. This means that you have to make it simple for them by using organized, patterned and logical sequencing.

Do not be overly flamboyant. Bold, colorful, heavy graphics? Yes, they do catch attention but sometimes it makes words difficult to read. You can experiment with a lot of fonts, sizes, colors but always remember that readability should have more weight over gimmicks.

Be practical. If you don’t understand this, you do not have any business whatsoever in any industry.

Read Before Jumping Into Advertising

If you’re a business owner for a long time now, your operating routine would probably include having a marketing campaign that would amply introduce your products and services to your target audience.

Okay. So before you do that, you’d probably be scouring for new mediums just so you can convey your message to your clients and prospects. And because you are always working on a limited budget, you’re probably always thinking of ways to maximize your exposure but limit your spending as well.

Every business owner and marketer knows that in order for you to work on your budget, you need to be creative and resourceful to be able to get your word out to your target market. It’s all about your profit margin actually. You would want to reach out to as many clients as you can, with less the expense of doing your marketing campaign, and still have a remarkable increase in your sales.

So how do you go about accomplishing such a feat?

Expert marketers would tell you one thing – before you start advertising, you must do your homework first. This means that you have to spend time and effort in trying to put together an ad that is suitable not only for your business, but most importantly, to the needs of your target market. It just goes to show that carefully preparing your ad for your target market can get you the increase in sales you need to enhance your profit margin.

It’s like going back to school again so you can be prepared to provide your target clients with the right message – no, the right advertising tool, even your business card printing pieces, that would work wonders on your target market.

If you want to save on costs, you got to do your homework. I can’t overemphasize this enough. If you’ve done your homework, you’d probably have not put your ad in every newspaper in the country just because almost everyone reads them. You’d probably be saying that it was such a waste of your resources because the page where your ad was placed has not reached the right market you are targeting. All you have to show for are a couple of mismatched prospects that has no need for your products and services whatsoever.

It’s like shooting blank bullets on your target. It won’t be able to sink in because they’re just well, blank. It’s not only impractical to do so, but it’s also a waste of your time and money to send information to those who would just ignore it.

Again, you need to do your homework. Doing so would probably save you a lot of your money, and at the same time, you get to reach the right target market who would definitely be interested to buy from you.

Three Methods to Apply With Reciprocal Link Swapping

Building adequate incoming links to your newly developed website is a much needed part of website promotion. But what is the best way to go about it?

There are three main methods to swapping reciprocal links with other websites, all these methods must involve you swapping links with sites that have good page ranks and have appropriate site content related to your website.

METHOD ONE: Manual Searching. The slow approach

One method is to go to each major search engine individually and search by relevant keywords for your site, visiting each site in the top 50 and browsing to their links page and add your site details either via their add link form or contacting them directly via email.

METHOD TWO: Joining a free link exchange program

The second method involves joining a free link exchange program which is a website specially made for people to exchange reciprocal links freely, these webpages can be a valuable source of finding sites to swap links with. Most of these sites are free to join with only minor account limitations, which can easily be upgraded for a small amount of $20 if the free service is not adequate enough. The the best site free link exchange program I have found, which I use regularly is LinkMarket found at www.linkmarket.net; this has an extensive link directory and is a valuable resource for webmasters.

METHOD THREE: Web Promotion Software.

The third method is to purchase web promotion software, most of the leading web promotion software have link popularity improvers to help quicken the finding of adequate reciprocal links for your websites link page. The only draw back with this method is that you have to pay for the privilege of using the software, which can but some people off, but in my opinion the speed and ease of using these software greatly outweighs the cost. One such software package I use is IBP 8.1, see my articles for further information.

These three methods should help build adequate incoming links to your site and raise your rankings in the search engines, make sure the link text back to your site contain important keywords for your site e.g

Your a shoe shop, and your main keyword is 'men shoes', the link should read

<'href="http://www.freddys-shoes.com">Mens shoes"'

rather than

'href="http://www.freddys-shoes.com">Click Here"'

Conclusion

If you follow just one of these methods this will greatly help you in your quest for a steady and useful supply of incoming links to aid in your website promotion.

How To Make Ads That Get Response

Here are several suggestions on how you can improve on your color printing ads to generate more response you could ever imagine:

1 – A free prize or gift will always get people to keep your ads. People are generally excited every time they see or hear the word ‘free’. That’s why having it written in your copy can do a world of good of making your print ads valuable to your target audience. And don’t just give the freebie immediately. Create a contest or a puzzle before they can get the prize. Keeping them occupied with your ad makes it easy for them to hold on to your material longer. The more chances for you to convince them of buying from you.

2 – Always remind your target readers of their issues and make sure that you position yourself in your color printing ad that you become the only solution to their problem. Post questions that they will have to answer with either a yes or a no.

3 – A donation to a charitable institution always convinces people that the act of buying from you makes them more generous and socially conscious.

4 – Testimonials, especially coming from a famous person, establish your credibility and quality. Include a picture as well as their actual statements and you’ll surely get people to try your product or service.

5 – Include anything that was written about you and your business. If it’s a good review, then the better. This would add value to your copy, as well as increase your credibility in your target readers’ eyes.

6 – Get personal by including a hand written letter or signature. This extra bit can increase your appeal to your target audience. You can do it on a piece of paper, scan the document, and then include it in your ad copy.

7 – List all the famous and popular people who actually benefited from your products and services, and then include the list in your marketing material. Their names would add glamour and credibility to your color print ad.

8 – A before and after design usually gets attention. If the benefits of your product or service can be saved in photos and pictures, then add that to your print ad. Make sure to highlight the ‘after’ when the problem was resolved after a client used your product or availed of your service.

So the next time you begin creating your print ad, remember these suggestions and see how your marketing campaign generate leads to increase your sales.

For most good online marketers it took at least a year to get up and running to get successful. They had to budget their time and money well. Don’t assume that putting a huge sum of cash into your business will bring you instant rewards. It is important to spend your time and money on several different approaches to see which ones generate the best hits. You need to remember to be persistent and spend your time and money wisely. When you fail to plan you plan to fail at your business. You want to find targeted visitors that are interested in what you have if you want to make sales.

1. Build Your List

Most online marketers send their offers to many targeted sources and prospects that they have generated. They do this regularly and have great success. It will allow you to build a lasting and trustful relationship with the list members. As the trust grows so will your money. There have been plenty of marketers who have made thousands just from sending an e-mail to their lists.

Many hosts will be more than happy to set you up with this and you will be able to see how many people have been to your site. You will also end up paying less per month. You will also want to get Wordtracker to get as many targeted keywords as possible. The more targeted keywords you get the more traffic to your sites.

A great way to target your market is to join a forum that is geared towards your audience. You can become friends and be helpful with all the people. This will let you gain trust. The Big Adsventure, Or: My Google AdSense Adventure

Join me on my AdSense Adventure, I'll be trying different AdSense tips & tricks. This will be a little different than all the other 'get rich quick' guides: instead of telling you what to do I let you watch me try it all...

Let me tell you about my trial and error path trying to make some money with Google AdSense™. I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of websites on this subject already. Many of them tell you how you can make a 6 figure income with only a couple of hours work a week. They will even tell you exactly how to achieve this. Just buy their e-book and you’ll have all the tips and tricks from the pros.

I’m quite skeptical about these offers. Doing my own research on the Google AdSense™ subject, I’ve found quite a few people who paid for the e-book but are very unhappy about it. They all tell me that the information they paid for was very useful, but is also freely available. The great thing about the Internet is that you can find information on any subject for free. It’s not allways easy to find the information you are looking for, but if you know how and where to search you can find almost anything. If you are not very skilled in finding information on the 'net maybe you should just go ahead and buy the e-book but keep in mind that the e-book will be the author's view on the subject. Your own search will give you a better view of the big picture. Of course, finding the information will take some effort and time. To me the search for information is part of the adventure, a part that I don’t want to skip.

So lets get rich with Google AdSense™! Ok, back to reallity: do you really think you can get a 6 figure income from Google AdSense™? I’m sure some people do make a small fortune with AdSense™ but I bet it takes a lot more work then those e-book writers tell you.

I registered with Google AdSense™ back in December 2004. After one year my total earnings had reached $25. Yes I know that is about the price of the amount of beer you drink in one hour at the bar. Still this has been easy money: I don’t think it took me more than 20 minutes to sign up with Google and add the AdSense™ code to my website.

This year will be different: I will try to get some serious income from AdSense™. I’m not expecting a 6 figure income and I’m not giving up my job. My goal is to get a check from Google every month (for those of you who don’t know, Google sends out checks each month to people who have made over $100)

Join me on my blog at www.iloveadsense.com See how I fail and learn from my mistakes!

Promoting Your Site Twice!

I recently became aware that promoting your web site in Search Engines can instantly be double within Google! That's right, you can instantly promote your site 2 times at once!

I recently became aware that promoting your web site in Search Engines can instantly be doubled within Google! That's right, you can instantly promote your site 2 times at once!

So how do you Market Your Site twice?

Simple...

Most of us typically promote www.yoursite.com. But what you need to realize is that most sites can be found on search engines simply by entering... http://yoursite.com - without the www.

Try it for a second, lets go to google and type in your url with the www. and then without the www.

So for me it would be:

1) www.smartads.info
2) http://smartads.info

The same will apply for sub-domains as well. A sub-domain is a section of your site dedicated to something you create but instead of residing within your normal directory, it resides within it's own directory, like I've illustrated below...

Normal:
www.yoursite.com

Sub-Domain:
http://sub-domain.yoursite.com

And with that again, you can promote your sub-domain twice in Search Engines like so...

1) www.sub-domain.yoursite.com
2) http://sub-domain.yousite.com

So in turn, I've just showed you how you can promote 4 sites with all the same goal in mind, yours of course!

How to utilize your new found knowledge:

Hopefully, you are all aware of how important it is to create a link exchange program for your business? Well, what you simply want to do is to mix up your links when submitting to other companies for a listing within their site.

In other words...

Lets say I just found 4 sites that I want to exchange links with, I would do something like this...

Site #1: I would submit (www.yoursite.com)
Site #2: I would submit (http://yoursite.com)
Site #3: I would submit (www.sub-domain.yoursite.com)
Site #4: I would submit (http://sub-domain.yoursite.com)

Now I'm promoting my site with 4 times the power than before!

But don't stop there...

Do you write articles? How about committing 2 of your links to every article. Change them up with each article.

Ex:

Article #1 (How to Submit Your Site to Search Engines)

Try adding
www.yoursite.com
www.sub-domain.yoursite.com

Article #2 (How to Market Your Site Twice)

Try adding
http://yoursite.com &

What Printing Process Will Work Best For Your Project

So you now have your design and your message, you even had the color printing company selected. So what’s next? It’s now time for you to choose the color printing method you’ll use to get your ads produced.

But it’s not about your knowledge of all the color printing methods available. It’s more than that. It’s about what would be the most appropriate for your special project. Will it be the offset litho this time, or a dye-sublimation would be more suitable to your ad?

Here are some of the general guidelines made by most color printers to help you come up with the most appropriate printing method for your project. Remember that there are no hard and fast rules; only suggestions that can help you fast track your choice process.

When you’re looking at personal use, hence you only need a low volume…… it’s best that you also consider using your desktop inkjet and laser printers. When you need only a few copies, you might want to try printing your stuff yourself and put off hiring your color printer for other bulk projects. It’s more practical this way. Either a color laser printer or an inkjet printer will do the job suitably.

When you want proofs for your color printing ad…… you can either utilize, again, your desktop color laser printer or inkjet for the job. They’re very good at providing proofs especially for your text and general layout. But they may not be able to give you the precise color you expect. However, if you want a much higher resolution and digital proofs to boot, you might as well avail of color lasers, and dye-sublimation printing process. The last one is the process preferred by most graphic designers especially if you’re looking at creating that extra high end proofing.

For bulk desktop publishing in high volume…… you would want to have offset lithography for those. This printing method is the most popular commercial color printing process when desktop publishing is involved; not to mention, it requires high volume mass production. That’s why most commercial printers use offset lithography for books, newsletters and brochures.

In addition, offset lithography is also best for glossy magazines, brochures and catalogs that require spot color and full color printing because of the pictures and photographs in it.

For business cards, letterheads, envelopes, labels…… offset lithography is also the most commonly used printing method. You can add engraving for a more subtle letterhead, and thermography for that raised look in your material.

Three Simple Things To Do To Get Traffic

When I first set out to quit my job and make money online it seemed like a very big task. Everything out there tells you how easy it is. They tell you how much money you can make in a month, or a week, or even a day depending on what you're looking at.

The money won't just fall into your lap, but I can tell you what you can do to make the steps to getting there much, much easier. I'll skip the part of long hours, time put in, how you seem to think about it even when you'd think yourself "off work" and the like, as you probably are already familiar with that stuff before you even thought of trying an online business.

First, KNOW exactly what you want to sell and/or what service you want to do. This will save you lots of time just in trying to make your website or sales page correct. The rest of your website will make sense around it as well and your web page will look and feel complete. You need to know as specifically as possible what goods or services you're offering. A subject that is too broad will not only make your site hard to find, but hard to update and keep track of as well.

Second, is get familiar with Search Engine Optimization(SEO), even with a finished site and a product ready to go, if noone can find your site you won't sell anything or get no visitors. You don't need to know it in the expert sense, but you should know what aspects search engines look for and adjust your website accordingly. Research the keywords and phrases common to your website's topic to find what people are searching for to properly optimize your page for the right traffic you want to go to your website.

Third, promote your site in as many different ways that you can think of. While it's not normally recommended to directly submit your website to the biggest search engines, taking out a few seconds to do it can't hurt. You can do so many things to promote a webiste, and as you work with one way, you'll often discover another way to get the word of your site around. From posting on forums to email advertising to Google Adwords, try and do as much as you can. Not every person surfing online will use the one or two ways you started promoting your site and may not see it. Get your hands dirty and experiment with as many as you can to give your site it's best chance of being seen.

This will hopefully help tweak and refine your site so when you follow the steps after it visitors will see what they were looking for and keep coming back or buy from you.

Gain Free Publicity With Article Directory Services

A growing number of online entrepreneurs are finding success with article directory submission services. Website operators, business owners and internet traffic specialists have found article marketing to be a valuable tool in their success.

If you've ever read an article on a website and noticed a brief paragraph, located at the bottom of the article, detailing the author's name and website, then you have already experienced the success of an article directory. An entrepreneur prepares an article, which is centered around their niche and submits it to an article directory. Other webmasters are constantly in search of new material for their website, so they often visit an article directory for information. They may see this article and decide to add it to their site with the condition that the author is given full credit at the bottom of the feature. The credit will likely include the author's name, brief bio and link to their website.

For each individual who reads an article directory, there is added potential for new customers. If they weren't interested in your specialty, they wouldn't be reading the article. So, you've already reached someone who has a direct interest in your product or niche. Once they are finished reading the article, they are likely to visit your website if they found the information to be valuable.

Article directory submission services are free to writers, as well as webmasters. Consider that you are opening an internet jewelry store and need to gain interest, spread the word and find customers for your new business. Well, you are obviously a jewelry expert since that's your chosen business, so write about it. Select a topic, write a brief feature, offer advice and submit the final copy to an article directory. At the bottom, always be sure to include a brief paragraph with your name, some information about your new company and a link to your website. When other webmasters stop by the article directory in search of news for their site, they may be inclined to use your work on their website. If they do, they will also include a link back to your site.

Article directory services provide the potential for a large amount of increased traffic and exposure for a new, or existing, website. There is no better way to gain respect in your profession than by being knowledgeable about what you do. If you are, it will show through in your work and people will be drawn into your site in search of even more information. Article directory services are one of the most powerful new tools available to online entrepreneurs and, best of all - they are free!

You've Got A Site -- Now What?

So you've got a website ready to go and you want to get the word out to either make money on it or promote it so it's the most popular page of it's kind. Now what?

Well, the first thing you should do is double check to make sure the site is as search engine friendly as possible. Go ahead. I'll wait. Done? Perfect. So, now it's easy for the search engines to find and categorize it once they do find it. Time to get that website where it can be seen.

One of the most common ways to get a site's pressence known in through Pay-Per-Click campaigns. They will assure you that the most qualified and targetted visitors come to your website. Keep your keyword and phrases as relevant as possible. If you keep your bids low it can be a profitable campaign when it targets the right audience. Keep track of the keywords people are clicking on to go to your site as well. This can tell you if you're targeting the right people or if you need to change your ad approach. Yahoo and Google are two very popular websites to do PPC campaigns on. There's numerous articles on the benefits and banes of PPC, and though it's not the focus on this one, it's usefulness to site promotion can't be simply disregarded.

Posting on forums is another way to promote your site. Do it specifically on forums with a topic relevant to your website. Check the TOS and make sure you can do it there first though. Simply placing our web address in your signature can create clicks through the forum, as well as create backlinks for your site. If the forum has a high Page Rank in Google it will work out even better for you. The main benefit of this is the backlinks your posts create which some search engine "spiders" deem gradually more important as they find your site linked more and more in different places on the internet.

On the idea of linking, reciprocal linking is another way to promote your website. This just means trading links with someone by putting a link on your website to them and they put a link on their website to you. Websites like Link Market and SEO Link Exchange are designed for just this purpose. As long as you keep the sites linking to you and from you relevant to your own site it should be just a matter of time before the search engine spiders find your site. The old fashioned way of emailing the webmaster of the site's can do it for you as well, but web services like the aformentioned ones, get rid of smaller steps that might make it harder to get linked using simple "Accept"/"Reject" buttons.

I hope this helps get your site to the top of the search engines.

Automatic Reciprocal Links Exchange: Forget Lousy 10% Link Exchange Response

Link exchange is very helpful in building valuable business contacts and getting better rank with search engines. But those who tried to use traditional link exchange strategies face a very sad fact - only 10% of link exchange offers sent to relevant web sites get response. All the rest goes to trash bin; efforts wasted.

Why this statistics follows most of link exchange cases?

The market of link exchanges is overwhelmed. Those who think that is it possible to get few hundreds of reciprocal links and get 1st position within a couple of days spam web sites like crazy. I personally delete over 90% of link exchange offers that are sent to my web sites as these offers are absolutely irrelevant.

Still, quality link exchange can be a good boost to any web site to abandon all hopes with it. And there is a big place for increasing the conversions of your link exchange offers.

How to increase the conversions of link exchange offers?

Go to secret gardens where web sites are eager to do link exchange. No link farms, no link pyramids, no link MLMs. Use the link exchange potential that has been at your hand all the time.

Remember a few years ago Internet market had a boom of automatic link exchange directories? Hundreds of thousands of web sites grabbed the unique opportunity to automate their link exchange. And now almost every niche has web sites that use different automatic reciprocal link exchange scripts or software.

And these sites are super highly responsive to relevant link exchange offers. Plus with many sites you can get your link on their link exchange page within a few minutes - usual link exchange copy and paste routine that can easily be automated.

Benefits of harvesting on the web sites with automatic reciprocal link exchange directories:

- increased motivation for relevant link exchange;
- big number of web sites in any niche;
- your link will be standing on static pages (good for indexing);
- big field for automating all routine on finding site-partner and exchanging links with it.

On web sites with automatic link exchange scripts you will forget about 10% response to your offer about doing link swap. Link exchange comes to the new level. And with quality link exchange you are destined to see the increase in targeted free traffic from search engines.

Understanding Color Printing Jargon

Do you know the difference with colors? For most people, a color is a color. But for a professional who uses colors for a living, there are more to it.

Printers are well aware of the difference processes in color printing. Let’s talk about this color printing processes so you would understand what each means.

Most color print projects use either spot colors or process colors. In every project, budget plays a large role in the decision as well as the printing method and the design elements used in the layout. As a rule of thumb, a couple of spot colors will definitely cost less than a four-color or process color printing. However, when you use full color photos, a more expensive color process may be your best option.

What are spot colors? As I’ve said before, spot colors are cheaper than the full color ones. When do you use spot colors? Well, there are several guidelines to determine whether spot colors would do the trick. Here are a few:

- If your publication has no full-color photographs.
- If your publication needs a color that cannot be accurately reproduced. This includes CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) inks which are often used for precise color matching of a corporate or logo color.
- If you’re printing a specific color on something that requires page to page color consistency.
- If you’re using a much larger space such as that of your poster, spot color can provide that even consistency look in your marketing ad.
- Spot color can give you a more vibrant color than the CMYK can produce in your color printing ad.
- Or if your ad needs special effects that requires producing inks such as metallic or fluorescent ones.

On the other hand, you’ll definitely need to apply process colors, e.g. CMYK inks, when…

- Your ad has full color photographs in it.
- Your ad has graphics that require producing multi-color inks.
You’ll then have to produce many color inks if you use spot color instead of the process colors.
- And if you need more than two spot colors in your ad, it is better to apply process color instead. Most of the time, you can save on costs with process colors than using four or more spot colors to produce your shade.

And if you have an ad that has photographs that integrates both spot colors and process colors, you can always use both applications. This is especially true in your logo color. For better results, ask your color printing company so you’ll be sure to have the best application to produce the colors you need for your marketing campaign.

How to Effectively Promote Your Website

1. Take advantage of the search engines. Submit your site to search engines. There are those that offer services free of charge. You can submit to Google, Yahoo, Altavista, Infoseek, Lycos and other trusted search engines. You can submit with an interval of 3 to four months. Try a redirection, if you cannot submit the real URL.

2. Do some reciprocal linking. This is one of the best ways to lead viewers towards your website. In this method, you exchange link with other websites. That way no site is disadvantaged. To find sites, you can again use the search engines.

3. Exchange banners. This is also one of the most productive ways to promote your website. However, they do not bring much traffic. Choose wisely when deciding banner ratios. Some sites are also offering paid banner submission. Decide on the matter cleverly. Select the ones with good traffic to influence your traffic as well.

4. Write articles and press releases. People wants to read news and tips more than reading ads. Moreover, a good number of articles and news releases with your website as footer is a promotional tool. Submit them to high-ranking sites in order to market your site.

5. Use meta tags. Always use the same on your site especially on the index page. The essence is that when search engines add up your homepage to their database, what they will look for is a special tag with keywords and description of the page. Give your title, description and keywords to make it easier for the search engines to locate you.

6. Patronize online classifieds. Millions of online ads programs are available in the net. Choose a category where your site belongs and add your site. Resubmit every 2 months to update them.

7. Make signatures. Use signatures which are linked to your websites. You can use these signatures when posting a reply in forums, chat rooms and guest books.

8. Maximize webrings. This is also a productive way of promoting. All you have to do is to find and join webrings which are similar to the topics in your site. They will bring in slow but stable traffic.

9. Do some promos. Promotions like discounts can be a tempting strategy that can boost both your traffic as well as sales.

Promote your site and be productive like you never been before.

Three-Way Link Exchange

Website promotion is getting easier everyday because of the many methods you can do to advertise sites. One new strategy is what we call three-way link exchange. Asking a webmaster to trade links with you, or also known as two-way link exchange, is now common to most people. But this new strategy that we’re talking about is not yet used by many. Let us first review some common terms and its definitions.

Two-Way Link Exchange (or simply called as link-exchange) is simply looking for other sites that is somehow related to your website and ask its webmaster to place link from their website to yours and in return, you will do the same. This is now done by almost all of the webmasters in the world. This means increase of inbound links plus of course helping your site visitor to look for other sites, which might be helpful to them.

Three-Way Link Exchange is somehow similar to two-way link exchange but the difference is instead of putting a link to another site on your own site, you will place its link on the other site you have. Sounds complicated? Let me discuss it furthermore.

Three-Way link exchange is a cultivated term not a generic term. This term is used in case when more than two pages are involved in linking. It means that Page A is linking to Page B and Page B is linking to Page C. But Page B is not linking to Page A and Page C is not linking to Page B.

This is usually done when you own two websites. One website has already many back links and page rank and the other one don’t have many back links and/or don’t have page rank. You put a link to another site on the website that has already many back links and/or page rank and in return, your link exchange partner will put a link of your site that doesn’t have any page rank yet.

This type of link exchange is best done when you have a new website and you want to have a good page rank as soon as possible. Of course, that still depends if your link exchange partner has established a good page rank already. So be sure to choose a good and well optimized website before you ask to trade links with its webmasters.

Some webmasters are also using Four Way Link Building methods, however, this is not yet advisable since it’s already complicated and it’s already hard to keep track of your inbound links and link exchange partners. So in the meantime, be free to use the common link exchange strategies since it’s already tested.

Benefits of Directory Submission Services

There are so many criterions that search engines follow to determine a site’s rank for certain key or search words. One of these includes links to the site. The page rank of a site is directly related to the number of links it has. The more links you have pointed to your site, with some variation of the key phrase you want to rank high for, the better ranking in the search engines you will receive.

Relationship between directory submissions and search engine rankings

One way links and search engine rankings have a great cause and effect relationship. Think of it as a business referral system. The business with the more referrals is most popular and hence, search engines rank them higher. The reason behind it, as many put it, is that the more links you have, higher are the chances of a visitor coming to your site through these links!

Again, the search engines send out spiders to the links they find in the directory pages. This will bring the search engine spiders to your site and will get your site pages added to the search engines indexes automatically.
In future, the new search engines will also follow the same procedure. Hence, you won’t have to register to them, rather they will find you themselves!

You can also improve your sales!

Again, many people actually do surf these directories to look for the things they want. So they will also act as a medium to bring in your prospective customer to your site.
Thus directory submission has three major benefits, which makes it indispensable tool of online marketing.

1. Higher Position In The Search Engine Results
2. Web Site Indexed
3. Click Through Traffic

So that is something one should focus on if they are interested in increasing the rankings and traffic of their site. Many sites who offer submission service, claim to submit your link in more than 75000 directories (mind you, few even claim the figure to be around 7,00,000!). But one should remember that submitting a link and getting it listed in the directory is not the same thing. It is like an auction, you don’t win merely by bidding. Others will just bid for you, but we at Submit2please.com, will make sure that your bid is a success. We will try our level best to insure a high rate of acceptance. We also assure you that the process will not be much time consuming and the results will start pouring in within a fortnight.

Latest Website Promotion Advice

I have written articles about website promotion in the past, however things on the internet are always changing and my opinions have now changed. This article is all about my new website promotion ideas, ideas which I use on my all of websites.

A good linking campaign is the main priority. Attempting to increase the number of backward links you have pointing to your website is essential. However you have to be careful. Here is a list of do's and do not's.

Do:

Increase the number of backward links pointing to your website slowly

Obtain backward links from within the same industry/market as your own

Build up the number of one-way links your website has pointing to it

Write articles and submit them to article directories

Add your website domain on all of your adverts, documentation and e-mails

Offer the visitors to your site the chance to sign up to a monthly newsletter

Offer the visitors to your site a free e-book

Write press releases

Do not:

Join a link building website to automate your linking requirements. These are tempting to join however are frowned upon by the search engines. Always remember hard work pays off.

Increase the number of backward links to quickly

Purchase too many link text ads

Just leave your website without any promotion, it will not grow on its own

Build hidden pages

In my opinion one-way links are vital. These are the most powerful form of backward link and the search engines love them. I can see no way in which they can penalise a site that is only acquiring these type of links.

The best and easiest way of obtaining these one-way links is by writing articles like the one you are reading. Once you have written the article, you then need to submit it to a number of article directories. You are able to add a link to your website on the bottom of the article and the hope is that other webmasters will want to include your article on their website, thus giving you a one-way link.

I have been writing articles for around a year and I must say it has done wonders for my businesses. The number of visitors to my sites have rocketed and the page rank have also steadily increased.

I hope you have found this article interesting to read and beneficial to you.

Good luck with your website promotion campaign

Google Best Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Practices - Part 3

The third part of this article will concentrate on the meta tags area of the optimization for Google. I will mention them in the order they should normally appear in the source code. I will review 5 essential meta areas.

The DTD statement.
This should be the first tag of the head section of your code. The Document Type Definition Statement allows faster and deeper indexing with Google, shortening the time your site will be in the “trustbox” as well. HTML 4.0 or 4.01 should be the standard, and for most cases, the Transitional type should be used.

The title, the most important.
Why? Because there are 3 elements in SEO: the listing (were title is the main element) the click-through (were title is the main reason) and conversion (which is the object of all optimization work) Also, if that is not reason enough (it should) it is the single element that gests indexed and used to list the link text in the Google SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). An average of 7 to 8 words length is optimal.

The description.
Used by Google to create a text summary in describing the page if available, so make sure the content of this tag is friendly to the searcher, not the search engine. If you are in a competitive market, this tag is not taken into account, but you should have it for your visitor. An average length of 150 characters is good.

The keywords.
Google actually uses this tag against you, by that meaning it is used as a spam check point for the page content. Also, do not include your niche keywords here, as you will be given your competition tips about your optimization. Put your main keywords across the content instead. Here use an average of 200 characters.
Make sure you are using different sets of keywords per page, in other words, that they are unique to each particular page.

The charset type.
Another element of the head section, this one tells the browser what to do when it encounters certain characters in your pages. Google indexes pages easier with the 8859-1 tag, since it will not do any data encoding, which can take a lot of extra time. The UTF-8 tag involves encoding and it should be used for forms that accept non standard characters, like foreign users from other countries.

What are link exchanges?

Link exchanges serve has a centre point for reciprocal link exchanges between one webmaster and another and are a gateway to communication between the two interested parties, the service they provide can be free with minor account limitations such as only being able to make five link requests a day or fee paid giving access to the full facilities such as checking whether the website you swapped with still has your link on their site or help with building link pages for your site etc.

One fine example is Linkmarket.net. Webmasters simply sign up and enter their website details and then are added to the link exchanges directory under relevant web content categories along with search engine ranking powered by Google or Alexa. From here webmasters can browse through and find websites which have relevant web content to their site and add them to their link basket.

Once they have finished choosing which links they are interested in, they can checkout and the chosen website webmasters are then informed automatically via email that they are interested in exchanging links with their site and then have a specified time limit in which to decide whether to exchange links or not.

This method works both ways and webmasters will be informed frequently via email when someone is interested and requesting to exchange links.
